The latest release of nanoStream Analytics introduces a major upgrade to nanoStream Guardian, enhancing security across your streaming use cases.
As part of nanoStream Control—the security and intelligence layer of the nanoStream Platform—this update provides deeper visibility and stronger protection for your streaming infrastructure.
We are giving you more control and visibility over your content security. This release focuses on managing playback token misuse, making it faster to detect suspicious activity and revoke compromised tokens directly from your dashboard.
Here is a closer look at how we’re helping you protect your streams and prevent unauthorized access.
How this benefits you
- You can stop unauthorized viewers faster: Instead of jumping between different tools to find and block a leaker, you can now kill a suspicious playback token with one click directly in the Guardian View. This cuts down the time an unauthorized person can stay connected to your stream.
- You’ll save time on troubleshooting: With the new “Revoked” and “Expired” labels, you can see exactly which tokens are still active and which aren’t. This stops you from wasting time investigating users who have already been blocked or whose access has naturally ended.
What’s New?
Guardian
- One-Click Token Revocation You can now stop playback token misuse the moment you see it. The Guardian allows you to invalidate suspicious tokens immediately without leaving the dashboard.
- Clearer JWT Misuse Tracking We’ve added a “Revoked” status column to the JWT Misuse table. You can now see at a glance whether a token has already been shut down.
- Dedicated Management Panel Clicking any row in the misuse table opens a detailed modal with a new Playback Token Revocation panel. This gives you a clear “Revoke” button to cut off access instantly.
- Token Control in IP Misuse View If you’re investigating a specific IP, you can now see all playback tokens associated with it and revoke them directly from the IP detail screen.
- Smart Status Labels To save you time, tokens that have already ended are clearly marked as “Expired.” Since they are already inactive, the revocation button is disabled to keep your workflow clean.
- API Support & JTI Lookup We’ve added full API support for token revocation and JTI lookups. This allows you to manage security through the dashboard or automate the process within your own backend.
Analytics
- More Accurate Metrics We’ve renamed “Concurrency” to “Max Concurrency” in the JWT misuse table to better reflect the actual peak data you’re seeing.
- Worldmap Metric Fix (MoQ) We fixed a bug where MoQ (Media over QUIC) ingest and playout counts weren’t appearing on the Worldmap. Your global traffic metrics for MoQ are now fully visible.

- The IP Misuse detail modal now also lists associated playback tokens with their revocation status and the ability to revoke them directly
