A Case Study on Ultra-Low Latency, Security, and Global Scalability
LiveG24, an international provider of live dealer casino games, faced growing challenges with streaming latency, security, and consistency across regions. Their existing streaming setup introduced delays of several seconds, a critical limitation for live casino environments where real-time interaction is essential to player trust and engagement.
Delivering immersive, real-time experiences to operators and players worldwide, its portfolio includes streamed table games such as Baccarat, Roulette, Blackjack, and Bingo.
LiveG24 streams 24/7/365 from multiple studios across Europe — including Italy, Malta, Slovenia, and Estonia — serving regulated markets globally, with a growing focus on emerging regions such as Brazil and Africa. For this reason, its success depends on:
- uninterrupted live streaming
- minimal end-to-end latency
- robust security standards
- consistent playback quality across devices and regions
By adopting nanoStream, LiveG24 implemented a secure, ultra-low latency streaming platform designed for continuous 24/7/365 operation and global scale. The result was a smoother live gaming experience, improved reliability, and a streaming foundation capable of supporting future growth in regulated iGaming markets.

The Challenge: Real-Time Video Streaming at Global Scale
As LiveG24 expanded its operations, limitations in its legacy streaming infrastructure became increasingly apparent. The platform was not designed to support the latency, security, and scalability requirements of modern iGaming.
Key Challenges
| Challenge | Impact on LiveG24 |
| High latency | Disrupted live gameplay and reduced player immersion |
| Security risks | Increased exposure to stream piracy and unauthorized access |
| Uninterrupted gameplay | Uneven user experience across regions with different internet access |
| Lack of streaming insights | Difficulty analysing and optimizing streaming setup |
| Heavy in-house workload | Reduced time to focus on their games due extensive resources allocated for streaming maintenance |
Latency was the most critical issue. In live dealer games, delays break the natural flow between dealer actions and player responses, weakening the core experience.
“Latency is one of the most important factors in live casino games. Even a few seconds can significantly affect the player experience.”
— Angelo De Gobbi, COO @ LiveG24

The Solution: A Secure, Ultra-Low Latency Streaming Architecture
To address these challenges, LiveG24 partnered with nanocosmos and implemented nanoStream, a live streaming platform purpose-built for real-time, interactive use cases such as iGaming.
1. Reducing Latency for Interactive Gameplay
Latency was the most critical concern — especially for interactive games like blackjack, where timing directly affects playability and monetization.
Before adopting nanoStream, LiveG24 engineers were dealing with a 3–4 second delay, which was acceptable for slower-paced games like roulette but unacceptable for real-time interaction in card games. With nanoStream, LiveG24 was able to achieve sub-second latency, even for streams delivered across continents:
“When we’re doing our streaming in-house… we were dealing with around 3-4 seconds of latency delay. This is not particularly problematic for roulette games… but for card games it is. With nanoStream, we are at sub-second — e.g., we stream from a studio in Europe to Brazil with a latency of around 0.8.” — Angelo De Gobbi, COO, LiveG24
This improvement restored the natural flow of live dealer gameplay, keeping players engaged and increasing betting windows.
2. Seamless Global Playback, Even on Challenging Networks
LiveG24 needed streaming that worked 24/7/365 across regions with widely varying network conditions. This meant delivering streams that didn’t buffer on slow or unstable connections, and that started quickly when a player joined.
nanoStream enabled this through adaptive bitrate capabilities and optimized delivery that adjusts to viewer network conditions, ensuring smooth playback wherever players are located. As Angelo explained, the focus was not just on delivering the highest possible quality, but on making sure the stream works reliably for the actual use case:
“There is no point in streaming with high bitrates imagining our games will be watched on a 4K monitor. The players are mostly connected via mobile and for us it is much more important to make sure they have an uninterrupted experience.” — Angelo De Gobbi, COO, LiveG24
3. Ensuring 24/7 Service with Global Delivery, Insights, and Support
LiveG24 operates 24/7/365, and even brief streaming interruptions can impact player trust and revenue. The platform therefore, needed to ensure continuous availability without constant manual intervention.
nanoStream supports uninterrupted operations through a resilient architecture and a global content delivery network, ensuring stable performance across regions with different network conditions. Analytics and monitoring provide immediate insight into stream health, latency, and regional performance, enabling issues to be identified and resolved quickly.
Equally important is nanocosmos’ partner-driven support approach. Working closely with LiveG24’s team, nanocosmos provides fast, expert support when issues arise — a critical factor in a live casino environment.
As Angelo explains:
“Our customers run streams nonstop. When there is an issue, it needs to be fixed ASAP — translating into a timeframe of one minute.”
This combination of global delivery, actionable insights, and responsive support gives LiveG24 the confidence to run live dealer games continuously, without compromising player experience.
4. Improving Security and Protecting Premium Content
Security was another major requirement. LiveG24 needed to protect its live dealer streams from piracy, unauthorized redistribution, and use in unlicensed markets. Protecting this premium content wasn’t just about revenue — it was about compliance and brand integrity.
nanoStream provided token-based security and access control, allowing LiveG24 to ensure that only authorized viewers could access streams. With analytics tied to security events, the team could detect and block unauthorized access, and compare real-time usage against internal systems to catch misuse or fraud.
“Security is really important to us… we want to make sure nobody will be able to use our stream without our permission… This is very important both for quality issues, as well as for legal issues.”
This solution helped LiveG24 protect its content and comply with regulatory expectations across global markets.

5. Reducing In-House Workload and Operational Complexity
Before nanoStream, LiveG24’s engineering team allocated substantial resources to maintaining and scaling its own streaming infrastructure, including transcoding, compatibility updates, and security patches.
With nanoStream, much of this operational burden shifted off their plate. The platform’s comprehensive feature set — including analytics, delivery, adaptive streaming, and security — reduced manual workload and freed LiveG24’s team to focus on developing games and expanding into new markets.
As Angelo noted, the integration was smooth and ongoing updates were handled without operational strain.
Implementation Highlight: Multi-Camera Live Bingo
LiveG24 uses a two-camera setup for live bingo to increase transparency and player engagement, delivering separate views of the dealer and the bingo ball draw. nanoStream enables both streams to be delivered simultaneously to players, with reliable playback across devices — including mobile and older models.
As Angelo explains:
“For casino games, we use one camera, for Bingo two cameras: one camera concentrates on the live dealer operating the blower, while the other zooms in on the selection of the bingo ball. With both feeds synchronized, it significantly heightens the engagement level for the viewer.”

Business Impact
Beyond technical performance, the new streaming setup delivered clear business value:
- Higher player satisfaction and engagement
- Reduced risk related to security and service continuity
- A scalable foundation for future innovation
LiveG24 can now focus on expanding its content and reach, supported by a streaming platform built for growth and with over 10 years of experience in the iGaming market.
Looking Ahead: Evolving Real-Time Video Streaming with MOQ
When this project was implemented, nanoStream already delivered ultra-low latency streaming at scale using a proven, production-ready platform.
Since then, nanocosmos has continued to evolve its ultra-low latency streaming technology. With the introduction of Media over QUIC (MOQ), a new streaming technology, nanoStream is extending these capabilities even further, enabling improved scalability, network efficiency, and resilience while achieving and maintaining sub-second latency.
MOQ builds on the same principles that made this project successful: ultra-low latency, secure delivery, and reliable global performance. For iGaming providers like LiveG24, this represents a strong foundation for the next generation of interactive live experiences.
